| Charlie
served for 22 years on the national board of directors of the Interfaith
Forum for Religion Art and Architecture and for five years as national
design consultant for the Disciples of Christ Christ Church, working
on projects as varied as the renovation of a 100-year-old Seattle
church or helping a Miami church recover from Hurricane Andrew.
As a charter member, Charlie helped form The Pasco County Arts Council
and served on its board of directors for more than 30 years.
At
various times he has served on the boards of directors of: the Pasco
County Code Enforcement Board, City of New Port Richey Code Enforcement
Board, and the steering committee for the Pasco County Comprehensive
Plan.
Charlie
studied with Bauhaus-trained sculptor Fredriech Holschou and received
his BFA in sculpture, a minor in art history and a DIS in figure
studies from Florida State University, and a BA in architecture
from the University of Florida. He
lives and works in New Port Richey, Florida; Steel City, Nebraska;
and Crestone, Colorado. He
produces his larger brick murals at the mural studios of Endicott
Brick Company, Endicott, Nebraska.
